Nano Barcoding

Nano Barcoding

The Material Physics research team at University of Sussex is engaged in a 18-24 month project on developing technology via “Nano-Barcoding”.

Such work involves the incorporation of unique identifiers in any material or object with valued benefits relating to the avoidance of counterfeiting, to safety, to adherence to prescribed standards.

Our research goal is to produce brand and product specific barcodes for the global market.

Research Stage

At present there is an early stage demonstration available and AMD funding is aimed to focus on developing and accelerating this technology for specific markets.
